Erica Turner, MS, APC
Erica Turner has a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. Erica’s passion for working with teenagers and adolescents began during her time spent abroad in Spain teaching English. Her clinical experience includes providing therapeutic intervention with teens and young adults on various issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, low self-esteem, anger management, social anxiety, social skills, motivation, and developing coping skills. Erica also has experience working at a psychiatric hospital where she became adept in crisis intervention, specifically with suicidal ideation and sexual assault victims.
Erica takes a client-centered approach to therapy to foster an environment that is comfortable, non-judgmental, and empathetic. She utilizes aspects of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to help clients better identify and deconstruct their thoughts so that they can control their emotions and behaviors, empowering clients to believe and understand that they have the power to decide their life’s path. Erica’s ultimate goal is to aid clients in their personal journey of change and growth.
