Kim L. Roberts, LPC, CAADC, CRC, EdS
Kim Roberts is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in clients and families impacted by alcohol or drug dependency. Kim earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia, and holds a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and an Ed.S in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University. She is recognized as a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor by the IC&RC. Kim's counseling experience includes Ridgeview Institute, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Day Rehab Program, and the Cobb County ACT team.
Her clinical background includes individual therapy and group work in both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings. She has extensive experience with drug and alcohol issues, family issues, severe and persistent mental illness, mood disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Kim's therapy influence is Adlerian, a holistic approach that recognizes a variety of factors are influencing our belief system and behaviors. Kim enjoys facilitating groups and believes groups are a powerful catalyst for change. These groups include substance abuse, dual diagnosis/co-occurring disorder groups, DBT, and family groups and workshops.
